An established financial services organisation is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join its back-office finance team.
This role is ideal for someone with strong accounts administration experience who enjoys working in a structured environment, has excellent attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering accurate and efficient financial processing services.
Role Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely payment processing and reconciliation support while ensuring all financial transactions are completed in accordance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile direct debits, standing orders, and other automated payment transactions.
- Prepare and maintain reconciliations across multiple bank accounts.
- Investigate and resolve outstanding reconciliation items and payment-related queries.
- Review daily and periodic financial reports to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
- Handle customer queries professionally via telephone and email.
- Support the wider finance and operations team with general administrative duties.
- Contribute to maintaining strong internal controls and operational standards.
The Candidate:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance, accounts, credit control, payments, or a similar administrative role.
- A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Experience with account reconciliation and financial transaction processing.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High levels of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- APA/ QFA qualification desirable.
- Commitment to maintaining ongoing professional development and CPD requirements.
