Senior IT Asset & Technology Manager

Permanent | South Dublin | 4 Days Onsite

The Opportunity:

A leading regulated financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior IT Asset Manager to take ownership of its IT asset environment and ensure assets are effectively managed, controlled and governed throughout their lifecycle. This is a senior role focused heavily on IT Asset Management (ITAM), with responsibility across hardware, software, applications, licensing, asset records, lifecycle management and vendor relationships. You will play an important role in ensuring the organisation maintains strong controls, accurate asset data and compliance with regulatory and internal governance requirements. Working closely with Technology, Procurement, Risk, Compliance, business stakeholders and external suppliers, you will help strengthen the organisation’s IT asset management framework while supporting ongoing technology change.

Key Responsibilities:

· Own the end-to-end IT asset lifecycle, from procurement and onboarding through to deployment, maintenance, refresh and secure disposal.

· Maintain accurate and comprehensive IT asset registers and inventories across hardware, software and applications.

· Establish and maintain strong ITAM processes, controls and governance frameworks.

· Manage software licensing, renewals, compliance and utilisation.

· Ensure asset information is accurate, complete and readily available for audit and regulatory requirements.

· Monitor asset ownership, allocation, location, status and lifecycle throughout the organisation.

· Work closely with Procurement and Finance to support purchasing, renewals, budgeting and asset reconciliation.

· Manage relationships with technology vendors and third-party service providers.

· Support internal and external IT audits, remediation activity and regulatory reviews.

· Identify and address gaps, risks and control weaknesses within the asset environment.

· Support technology change projects by ensuring asset management requirements are incorporated from the outset.

· Contribute to wider ICT risk, cybersecurity, operational resilience and regulatory initiatives.

· Identify opportunities to improve asset management through automation, tooling and process optimisation.

· Provide guidance and support to junior technology team members.

What We’re Looking For:

· 7+ years’ experience in IT Asset Management, IT Operations, Technology Management or a similar discipline.

· Strong practical experience managing IT hardware, software and application lifecycles.

· Experience developing or operating ITAM processes within a regulated or highly controlled environment.

· Strong understanding of asset governance, controls, inventory management and software licensing.

· Experience working with IT asset management / CMDB tools.

· Proven experience managing technology vendors and third-party suppliers.

· Strong understanding of IT risk, controls, audit and compliance requirements.

· Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of asset data and competing priorities.

· Third-level qualification in IT, Technology or a related discipline.

Desirable:

· Financial services, banking or capital markets experience.

· Knowledge of DORA, ICT risk and operational resilience requirements.

· Experience supporting regulatory audits and technology control assessments.

· Familiarity with ITIL, CMDB and recognised IT Asset Management frameworks.

· Experience with software asset management and licensing optimisation.

· Exposure to cybersecurity asset management.

· Experience implementing automation or AI solutions within ITAM.
