Accounts Assistant | Dublin 12

We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team within a well-established international business with operations across Ireland and the UK.

The Role

Working closely with the Finance Managers and reporting into the Finance Director for Ireland, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the finance function.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing bank and intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities
• Supporting the month-end close process and completing balance sheet reconciliations, including VAT, stock, grants and control accounts
• Processing and reporting on employee expenses
• Assisting with VAT return preparation
• Preparing weekly and monthly financial reports
• Supporting audit requirements and external reporting
• Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
• Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline existing processes

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• An Accounting Technician qualification or part-qualified status with ACCA, ACA or CIMA
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar accounts or finance role
• Strong experience across reconciliations and month-end
• Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems
• Excellent attention to detail and a well-organised approach
• The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
