Senior Financial Advisor
Senior Financial Advisor
High-Net-Worth Professional Clients | Sandyford, Dublin
An established and growing financial advisory business is looking for an ambitious Senior Financial Advisor to join its Sandyford team and take ownership of an existing portfolio of high-value professional clients.
This is an opportunity to work with an exceptional client base made up of medical consultants, GPs, dentists, physiotherapists, vets, surveyors and other established professionals, providing sophisticated advice across income protection, pensions, investments and wealth planning.
You will inherit an established client book, giving you the opportunity to generate immediate value while building long-term relationships and developing your own reputation within a highly attractive professional market.
This is not simply a role focused on servicing an existing book. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow the portfolio, generate new business, develop professional referral networks and play a visible role in the continued growth of the business.
The Opportunity
You will take responsibility for a portfolio of professional clients, becoming their trusted financial adviser and helping them make informed decisions around protecting their income, building wealth and planning for the future.
You’ll have the autonomy to develop relationships, identify opportunities and build a strong pipeline of new professional clients through referrals, networking, professional introductions and face-to-face meetings.
Your key objectives will include:
- Complete a comprehensive review of your existing client portfolio within your first 90 days, identifying opportunities across income protection, pensions, investments and wealth planning.
- Develop and implement tailored financial strategies that deliver meaningful outcomes for clients while generating sustainable recurring revenue.
- Grow assets under advice and new business from the existing client portfolio by a minimum of 20% in year one.
- Develop at least 15 new high-net-worth professional client relationships annually through referrals, professional networks, introductions and proactive business development.
- Build long-term relationships that drive exceptional client retention, referrals and recurring business.
- Provide fully compliant advice in line with MiFID and the Consumer Protection Code 2012.
- Consistently achieve or exceed agreed individual and team performance targets.
- Represent the business at professional events and industry gatherings, helping to strengthen its reputation and generate new opportunities.
What You’ll Be Joining
You’ll become part of a boutique, owner-led financial advisory business with ambitious plans for growth.
Based from a modern Sandyford head office, you’ll work closely with the principal and a small, experienced advisory team. The business provides the infrastructure, compliance framework, product research support and established client relationships needed to allow you to focus on what you do best: advising clients, building relationships and growing your portfolio.
This is a non-hybrid role, with regular client and professional meetings in the field.
Underground parking is available.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced adviser who combines strong technical knowledge with genuine commercial and relationship-building ability.
You’ll ideally have:
- Full QFA qualification and a relevant third-level degree.
- At least 5 years’ experience as a financial adviser.
- Experience advising high-net-worth clients, ideally within the medical or professional services sectors.
- A proven track record of managing, retaining and growing an established client portfolio.
- Strong new-business development and relationship-building capabilities.
- Excellent knowledge of Irish pensions, investments, protection products and relevant tax considerations.
- A strong understanding of investment markets and risk/return principles.
- A thorough understanding of MiFID requirements and the Consumer Protection Code 2012.
- Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills.
- A full Irish driving licence.
Why This Role?
This is an opportunity to join a business where quality of advice and quality of relationships come first.
You’ll have access to an established professional client base rather than starting from scratch, while also having the freedom to develop your own network and build a significant book of business.
You’ll work with clients who genuinely value expert financial advice and who have significant long-term wealth planning needs.
For the right person, this role offers the opportunity to become a recognised specialist adviser to Ireland’s medical and professional community, while playing a meaningful role in the growth of an ambitious boutique business.

- Performance-related bonus

- Sandyford location
