Lead locally. Build relationships. Make a difference.

Are you an experienced financial services professional who enjoys bringing people together, building relationships and making a positive impact in the community?

We are looking for an ambitious Branch Manager to lead an established financial services branch in Sligo Town, representing one of Ireland’s best-known financial brands.

This is more than a branch management role. You will be a visible presence in the local community, building relationships with customers, businesses and professional networks across Sligo. From attending local events and developing new connections to presenting a trusted Irish brand with confidence and professionalism, you will play an important role in strengthening the branch’s reputation and growing its presence in the area.

Alongside this external focus, you will lead a team of five, drive commercial performance and ensure customers receive an excellent standard of service.

The Opportunity

As Branch Manager, you will take ownership of the branch’s day-to-day performance, people and customer experience. You will balance commercial objectives with a genuine commitment to the local community, creating opportunities to grow the business through strong relationships, networking and outstanding service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing your team: Manage, motivate and support a team of five, creating a positive environment where people can perform, develop and deliver for customers.

  • Building a strong community presence: Develop relationships with local businesses, professional groups, community organisations and other key contacts throughout Sligo.

  • Networking and representing the brand: Attend relevant local events, build your professional network and act as an ambassador for a well-established financial services brand recognised throughout Ireland.

  • Driving business growth: Identify opportunities to develop new relationships, strengthen existing customer connections and deliver against branch sales and performance targets.

  • Delivering an excellent customer experience: Ensure customers receive professional, consistent support across banking and mortgage-related services.

  • Managing branch operations: Maintain effective day-to-day processes while ensuring all activities meet the required regulatory, risk and compliance standards.

  • Taking ownership of performance: Monitor results, identify opportunities for improvement and translate business objectives into clear priorities for your team.

  • Protecting the branch’s reputation: Handle customer queries and complaints effectively, building trust through a responsive, professional and solutions-focused approach.

What We’re Looking For

You will be a confident and commercially minded financial services professional who understands that successful branch management is about more than operational delivery. It is about people, relationships, visibility and trust.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • An essential QFA qualification.

  • Previous experience in banking or financial services.

  • Experience leading, managing or developing a team.

  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage with people at all levels.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent a recognised brand professionally in the local market.

  • A commercial mindset and a track record of working towards business targets.

  • A strong customer-first approach and the ability to build long-term relationships.

  • A sound understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management and compliance.

  • Strong organisational, decision-making and problem-solving skills.

What’s on Offer?

  • Salary of up to €70,000, depending on experience.

  • Additional benefits.

  • The opportunity to lead an established branch with the backing and recognition of a well-known Irish financial services brand.

  • A visible leadership position where networking, relationship development and community engagement are genuinely important.

  • The opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the local area while developing your team and growing branch performance.
