Senior Assistant Accountant (Part-Qualified) | Dublin 11 | Hybrid

I’m currently working on an opportunity for a growing multi-site franchise group operating across Ireland and the UK.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this is a hands-on role offering real ownership of month-end, management accounts and financial reporting across multiple entities. It would suit a commercially minded part-qualified accountant who wants to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced, expanding business.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of month-end close and prepare monthly management accounts.

• Produce site and brand-level P&Ls, variance analysis and management reporting.

• Manage balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments.

• Oversee intercompany accounting, franchise invoicing and debtor balances.

• Analyse food costs, gross profit margins, labour costs and site performance.

• Prepare VAT returns and support payroll reconciliations, year-end audit and statutory reporting.

• Work closely with operational management to identify cost savings and improve business performance.

• Support and review the work of the accounts assistant / accounts payable function.

Requirements

• Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent), actively working towards qualification.

• 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting or finance position.

• Proven experience preparing management accounts and managing month-end close.

• Strong technical knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Good working knowledge of Irish VAT and payroll compliance.

• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software.

• Experience working across multiple entities or within a group structure.
