Financial Reporting Accountant

A leading global financial services organisation is seeking a qualified accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to gain exposure to trading operations, financial markets and complex financial reporting within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:
* Ownership of financial reporting, P&L and balance sheet analysis for regulated entities
* Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs for senior stakeholders
* Supporting statutory accounts preparation and year-end audit processes
* Managing inter-company accounting and balance reconciliations
* Supporting fair value accounting and financial instrument reporting under IFRS
* Partnering with operational and business teams to deliver financial insights and analysis
* Driving process improvements, automation initiatives and control enhancements

Requirements:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
* 2+ years’ post-qualified or relevant finance experience
* Strong financial reporting and accounts preparation skills
* Experience working with auditors and preparing audit support schedules
* Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude
* Exposure to financial services, capital markets, investment management or financial services audit is advantageous
* Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
* Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, collaborative environment
