We are currently working exclusively with our client, a leading Insurance Broker, on the appointment of a Business Development Executive to join their growing Commercial Insurance team across their Dublin offices.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven insurance professional who enjoys building relationships, winning new business, and developing long term client partnerships within the Irish market.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, this role will focus on driving profitable new business growth across commercial lines.

You will manage the full sales cycle from identifying opportunities and prospecting through to presenting solutions, closing business, and developing long term relationships with clients.

This role would suit someone who enjoys networking, developing pipelines, and working in a fast paced, relationship led environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify and win new commercial insurance business across targeted sectors

* Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities

* Develop relationships through networking, referrals, introducers, and market engagement

* Meet clients, conduct fact finds, and present tailored insurance solutions

* Work closely with internal support teams to ensure a seamless onboarding process

* Build strong relationships with insurers and underwriters to secure competitive terms

* Stay up to date on market trends, insurer appetite, and commercial opportunities

* Deliver against revenue targets and KPIs

* Represent the business professionally at industry events and client meetings

* Ensure all activity is fully compliant with Central Bank regulations and internal standards

About You

* CIP qualified is essential

* Strong experience within commercial insurance broking

* Proven ability to generate and convert new business

* Excellent communication and relationship building skills

* Commercially focused with strong negotiation ability

* Self motivated and capable of managing your own pipeline

* Strong knowledge of the Irish commercial insurance market

* Existing network or strong business development capability would be highly advantageous
