Senior Fund Accountant
We are working with a global alternative investment firm that is expanding its Dublin presence and is seeking an experienced Fund Accountant to join a growing finance function. This role offers broad exposure to complex fund structures and close collaboration with international stakeholders across multiple business areas.
The successful candidate will play a key role in fund accounting, NAV oversight, and financial reporting while partnering closely with internal teams and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with global teams to prepare and review fund accounting records, including NAV calculations and performance reporting
- Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes for complex alternative investment funds
- Review work produced by third-party fund administrators
- Monitor cash reconciliations and accuracy of interest, dividend, and expense accruals
- Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors
- Assist in determining appropriate accounting treatment for a wide range of transactions
- Work closely with trading, operations, legal, tax, and investor relations teams
About You / Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification
- Fully ACCA qualified (essential)
- 5-8 years’ experience in fund accounting within financial services
- Strong exposure to hedge funds, private equity, or alternative investment products
- Prior big 4 background highly desirable
- Solid understanding of fixed income instruments and derivatives
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
- Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Stamp4 Visa or EU/Irish passport
