The Life and Pensions Administrator plays a key role in delivering end-to-end administrative and client service support to Financial Planners and clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of life, pension, and investment services – from new business onboarding to ongoing policy servicing and compliance management.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, well-organised, and an excellent communicator, with strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to client care.

Training and mentoring will be provided; however, experience in life, pensions, and investment administration is essential.

You will work as part of a structured team covering the following areas:

  • Process Letters of Authority (LOAs) and Transfer of Agency (TOA) requests accurately.
  • Manage client onboarding, including AML verification and preparation of full compliance files.
  • Prepare Client Summary Reports, policy summaries, and supporting documentation for advisor and client review.
  • Handle fund switches, top-ups, premium changes, cancellations, and other policy servicing requests.
  • Administer retirement, death, and serious illness claims through to completion.
  • Maintain accurate client and company records using BIS, CRM systems, and life company portals.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client and provider queries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and advisors to enhance workflow efficiency and improve the client experience.
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth team operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Our ideal candidate:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in life, pension, and investment administration within a brokerage, advisory, or provider environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial products, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements (including AML and CPC).
  • Minimum APA (Life & Pensions) qualification required, with progression toward QFA essential. A full QFA qualification or broader financial services knowledge is a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM or data management systems; experience with BIS and life company portals (Zurich, Irish Life, Aviva, New Ireland, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience with self-administered pensions or group schemes is an advantage.

Why Join Our Client?

  • Full-time, in-office role (Monday to Friday, 9:15am-5:15pm).
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including:
  • Pension Scheme

  • Annual Leave
  • Ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and full QFA qualification support.
